We all go to the beauty parlor and have that twinge of envy as we see the person in front of us leave. What are her beauty secrets? Why is her hair so much prettier than mine? Why does it seem our hairdresser has given her some miraculous beauty tip that we aren’t privy to? What we don’t realize is that the next person, who arrives, says the same things about us! So how do we get that salon look every day? Here are my tips for beautiful hair everyday!
#1: Trim your hair regularly! I am the worst offender of this one. I have to remind myself that the only way to have that salon look everyday is to not wait too long in between visits. It is a very well know yet ignored beauty secret that you must trim your split-ends on a regular basis.
#2: Condition your hair regularly! Do you wash and go? Or do you condition every day? Conditioning every day is imperative. Do you have abnormally unruly hair? Try leaving your conditioner in for several minutes for better absorption.
#3: Incorporate Weekly Hot Oil Treatments. The best beauty advice on this one is to use in moderation, while weekly treatments can give you salon results, overdoing it can backfire with a limp over oily result.
#4: Give it a rest! When possible avoid using your hair dryer and curling iron and let your hair dry naturally. Have to have those curls? Try opting for hot rollers instead.
#5: Minimal is better! The best beauty tip for your hair; the use of too many styling products can dry your hair and take away the shine.
My personal tip for beautiful hair is indulge! While it is important to keep your hair looking its best on a daily basis, it is also important to pamper yourself too. Next time, though, remember as you see that gorgeous head of hair before you, that you are only seconds away from looking that fabulous too!

This information comes from a study of 1,054 women in their 40’s and 50’s, starting before menopause and ending nine years later, after all had been through menopause. Rinse-Off Cleansers – are water-based and incorporate some type of detergent to help remove makeup and excess oils. This type of cleanser is recommended for women with oily or combination skin. It should be mild enough to gently and effectively cleanse your skin without drying. Gels, foaming cleansers, and facial washes are normally referred to as “rinse-off” cleansers.
Tissue-Off Cleansers – are normally referred to as “cream” or “milk” cleansers and have a high oil content. It is these oils, which combine with and help to remove makeup, facial oils, and grime, that allow them to be easily wiped away. “Tissue-off” cleansers are less drying and more suitable for normal to dry skin types.
