I’ve been using mineral makeup like lily lolo and BE and it looks great when i put it on but in a few hours it goes away completely. I wear makeup 24/7 so i was wandering if anyone knew a good way to make it stay on? Thanks!

Use a primer. The cheapest one is Monistat’s anti-chafing gel. I know, I know “monistat?” but it has the exact same ingredients as expensive primers like smashbox.
Primers reduce the appearance of pores and lines, and keeps makeup in place.

I have tried the Loreal Mineral makeup and liked it at first but then i dont know what happened – it wouldnt go on easily or anything. I know Clinique now has mineral makeup but is it any good? how about bare minerals they advertise on TV? I need some guidance before i spend alot of money! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, Aveda makeup is really good for your skin, I started using it and I really don’t get any pimples or anything. It’s all natural. As for price, it is pretty cheap.

i used bare essentials/minerals. its made from minerals and earthy and totally great for your skin. regular makeup has tons of artifical stuff in it. mineral makeup might actually clear your face up! its wayyy better :]

mineral makeup wont destroy ur skin.
but mineral makeup isnt for dry skin. it’ll make it noticable, look flakey and loose the glowy factor
i have dry-ish skin and large pores and mineral makeup doesnt look good on me at all

I’ve used mineral makeup without bismuth oxychloride, and still broke out with fine bumps. After reading about mineral makeup more in-depth, I learned that mica could still be a culprit. I’d like to find mineral makeup without bismuth oxychloride or mica to see if it works for me, but haven’t been able to find any in stores or online. Any ideas?

All of the mineral makeups I know of have mica, I believe bella pierre (my personal fave) does not have bismuth oxychloride. But mica is a common ingredient because it is a natural ingredient for the makeup. But check this one out and see what you think

bare minerals. a little pricey but worth it. it is just powder made from natural ingredients. you can sleep in it and when you get sweaty in the summer it doesn’t clog up your pores

When i was in a play they made us wear a ***ton*** of mineral makeup and stuff and i found that luvs or some other brand of baby wipes work really really well!

I use mineral makeup and it lasts me forever (probably haven’t had to buy a new one in over a year). I think as long as the color still looks good, doesn’t smell weird, it should be ok. Just be sure to clean your makeup brush. It it is a liquid mineral makeup, I wouldn’t use it if it is separated or discolored.

I have watched the commercials for Sheer Cover and Bare Minerals and they look good but do they work? Will they make older skin look dry and fill in wrinkles? Does it really cover? Are they a mess? How is LOreal and the cheaper mineral makeup versions? What ingredients do you look for in this type of makeup? I hate wearing liquid foundation when it is hot and humid and thought the powder-mineral makeup might feel better, but I need to cover skin imperfections and dark eye circles!

I am 50 and use Bare Minerals. I have tried the L’Oreal and it is as nice. I didn’t like the brush that came with it either.
The one thing to remember when using BM is to keep brushing in circles with it. The more you do the more it “melts” and blends into your face. I find it very easy to use and fast. My JCPenneys carries it and was handing out samples. Go and get your face done with it and wear it for a day. Be sure to have a cosmetician help you find the right shade.
