Review: Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

Desciprition:
Black sugar mask with rich minerals and vitamin to provide luster and smoothness to skin.

My General Review:
I’ll make it quick because personally, there’s nothing much to say about this mask. It comes out goopy with a lot of sugar, which supposed to act as the scrubby particles. Unfortunately, the sugar particles are huge and harsh, making my skin irritated. On me, the sugar won’t melt even though I mix it with water. End result is irritated and dehydrated skin, without so much of an exfoliation.

So what’s the point? I can get effective exfoliation from gentle product, such as Cure Natural Aqua Gel.

Ingredients:
SUCROSE, PEG-7 GLYCERYL COCOATE, GLYCERIN, EUPHORBIA CERIFERA (CANDELILLA) WAX, MACADAMIA TERNIFOLIA SEED OIL, LANOLIN, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, CETYL ETHYLHEXANOATE, STEARALKONIUM HECTORITE, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA BUTTER), LIMNANTHES ALBA (MEADOWFOAM) SEED OIL, SORBITAN LAURATE,B UTYLPARABEN, BHT, CARAMEL, PARFUM

Review: My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Sheet Mask

January 28th, 2010 — 6:57am

My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask 10pcs, 1box

My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask 10pcs, 1box

Purpose: Whitening, hydrating

Skin type: All skin types

Characteristics: The variety of amino acids and trace elements present in natural pearl powder can penetrate deep into the skin for supple, radiant look. Essence from the Mulberry extract helps in the hydration of the skin. The vitamin B and Algae-Yeast complex activates and nourishes the skin. Licorice and Lemon extracts help the skin to regain its balance while obtaining the nourishment at the same time.

My Skin Type:

Ranging from very dry to normal/dry. Generally dehydrated, very sensitive.

Packaging:

A box of My Beauty Diary Pearl Powder Mask contains 10 individually packaged sheet mask. I think the packaging is beautiful, albeit not eco-friendly. I wish they can stuck several masks into 1 box…like they did with Kose Clear Turn sheet masks, without sacrificing the amount of essence in each mask.

BTW I see that Watsons Singapore carries My Beauty Diary masks with different box now. Has the packaging been redesigned?

Texture:

The sheet is nice, not too thin. The cut is too wide, but is still workable. Amount of lotion in each sheet is not stated. It’s quite richly saturated in gel/lotion essence, but it’s not drippy. I can wear this while sitting without it being uncomfortable. After I removed the mask, the remaining lotion feels slightly sticky, but I usually let it until it’s fully absorbed by my skin, leaving skin soft without tacky residue.

My General Review:

This is one interesting mask. I’ll admit, I’m not sure there is really pearl powder in there. And I don’t really trust pearl powder to be an effective face brightener. I’d rather take them as jewellery, thank you.

However, this mask are brimming with hydrators such as Collagen, Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid. MBD also threw in some antioxidants such as Ginkgo Biloba, Vitamin C, and Green Tea. And MBD didn’t stop there. What caught my attention is the addition of brightening elements such as Azelaic Acid and Mulberry. Doesn’t it sound spot on, because this mask claims to be brightener/whitener mask?

The question is: does it work?

Nah~

Azelaic Acid is a FDA-approved acne-treating ingredient. There are also researches citing its promising spot lightening action. However, they used 15-20% concentration of Azelaic Acid. Does this mask contain 20% Azelaic Acid? I don’t know.

Then comes the Mulberry. Mulberry is often used in skincare because  it contains Hydroquinone. Butall are in-vitro test, and just how much Mulberry must be used in a cosmetic is unknown. So it doesn’t sound like it’s gonna be a useful addition to me.

Not to forget, the Licorice. Licorice often claimed as brightener in other skin care products too, but MBD claims more accurately here. It’s an anti-inflammatory.

So that’s a string of ‘false brightener’. Yet, what I do know is, the mask does make my skin plumper, more hydrated. It does smooths out pores, as to be expected from the best of MBD mask. Previous to using this mask, my skin was stressed and dehydrated because I just came out from using 2% BHA to control my acne, but day 2 into using this mask, my skin looked calmer and normal. Gotta love that. In a sense, yes it brightens my dull, acne-treated skin. It helps my skin regain its healthy glow, but I think it’s not due to the Azelaic Acid nor Mulberry. More like from the moisturizing agents, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidants to relieve my skin from stress? Hydrated, healthier skin result in brighter, more glowy skin I think :D

And speaking of result, maybe (just maybe…) my skin will gain more benefit from this mask if only MBD are willing to remove the Lemon ingredient. As much hype as they may carry…Lemon is potential irritant :( I don’t want my skin to waste its energy to fights irritants and counteract the other wonderful ingredients this mask carry!

Last, previously I was not sure about the difference between this mask and the popular MBD Black Pearl Mask. Both claims to be whitening and hydrating. Yet after trying both, I personally think that this Pearl Powder Mask comes as the winner for normal/dry skin. It works better and is not as irritating. MBD Black Pearl Mask is ridden with more irritants, so it’s not my favorite after all.

What Else You Need To Know:

I generally enjoy My Beauty Diary sheet masks a lot, due to their cute packaging :P But here are my top three favorites from MBD due to their reasonable price and generally visible result (eg. in brightening and smoothing out my pores/skin texture).

  1. Natto (when my skin is dry).
  2. Red Wine (when my skin is normal/dry).
  3. Pearl Powder (when my skin is normal/dry).

Up next will be my review on the Q10 sheet mask, plus I still have the Camellia and Platinum Nanocolloid variants from MBD to try. They’re in the Premium series, more expensive compared to other MBD. Better ingredients too, as far as I can tell :D

Application:

I use the mask after cleansing and toning my face. Leave it on until I feel most the essence is already soaked in, the take it off and wait until all remaining juice in my face get absorbed. It may be sticky for a while, but no worries. Once it’s soaked in, it’s all good and you’re left with soft, glowy skin. All I need is to top it off with an antioxidant serum and a light moisturizer.

Price:

Not available in Indonesia, except via pre-orders. I usually buy this from T in Singapore, but now it’s also available at Watsons Singapore.

Ingredients:

Purified water, Collagen, Glycerine, Glycine, Propylene Glycol, 1,3-Butylene Glycol, Extra fine pearl powder, Aloe, Licorice, Ginkgo Biloba, Lemon, L-Ascorbic acid , Azelaic acid, Green tea, Algae-Yeast complex, Mulberry, Hyaluronic acid, Nanospheres, Bio-active Silanols, Carbomer, Sodium hydroxide, Potassium hydroxide, Xanthan gum, Citric acid, Triethanolamine, Tween 20, Methyl paraben, Butyl paraben, Ethyl paraben, Propyl paraben, Perfume

Overall Rating:

4 out of 5. Works to hydrate my skin and smooths out pores. Several beneficial ingredients are there, just hope they’ll remove the Lemon to avoid any irritation possibility. And the perfume too, if you will, MBD.

Review: My Beauty Diary Q10 Rejuvenating Sheet Mask

January 28th, 2010 — 6:57am

My Beauty Diary Q10 Rejuvenating Mask 10pcs, 1box

My Beauty Diary Q10 Rejuvenating Mask 10pcs, 1box

Purpose:Anti-oxidation, hydrating, firming

Skin type:All skin types especially skin lacking firmness

Characteristics:
Q10 (a.k.a Ubiquinone or Coenzyme Q), Vitamin BT (Carnitine) and Lecithin have excellent effects as anti-oxidants, reducing the harm caused by the free oxygen radicals in the air on the skin, creating firm, elastic smooth skin. With natural plant moisturizing ingredients to soothe and hydrate the skin, it not only improves the hydration in the surface skin, but also provide a lustrous texture, steering the skin to function at it’s peak. Hyaluronic acid works hand in hand Nanospheres to provide for prolonged hydration effect, rejuvenating of the skin.

My Skin Type:
Ranging from very dry to normal/dry. Generally dehydrated, very sensitive.

Packaging:
A box of My Beauty Diary Q10 Mask contains 10 individually packaged sheet mask. I think the packaging is beautiful, albeit not eco-friendly. I wish they can stuck several masks into 1 box…like they did with Kose Clear Turn sheet masks, without sacrificing the amount of essence in each mask.

I think this is the last of the lot from my stock of MBD regular type. And I’m very torn with this mask.

Honestly, I love the effect. My skin was drying up again (maybe because of my new sunscreen), so I wear this one last night for 40 minutes or so. At first it causes slight tingly sensation (never happened with other My Beauty Diary masks). Slight itchiness too after I’ve finished masking. But the end result is beautiful. It’s quite hydrating, smooths out my pores, and the next morning my face is in great shape plus it’s glowing, without any sign of irritation.

The down part is the fact that…yes, this mask contains irritants. Lemon, for instance. But Comfrey is far more problematic, I think. It is carcinogenic, and it can be absorbed into the blood stream. In short term topical usage, it has anti-inflammatory purpose, but only if you’re sure “the amount of pyrrolizidine alkaloids is less than 100 micrograms per application—something that would be impossible to determine without sophisticated testing equipment, making comfrey an ingredient to avoid.”, according to Paula. So best to avoid this ingredient.

Was it the cause of itchy and tingly sensation? No idea. But I have to say that I was extra sensitive last night, and I did the mask after exfoliating my skin with Cure Natural Aqua Gel. So maybe it was aggravated by Lemon in this mask too.

What a shame…because there’s some good ingredients in there. Hydrators (such as Collagen, Glycerin, Lecithin, Sodium Hyaluronate), and skin calmer (Licorice), and antioxidants (Ubiquinone a.k.a Coenzyme Q10, possibly Carnitine too).

What Else You Need To Know:
As such, my standing on MBD Sheet Mask (the regular line) doesn’t change with this review :D My top 3 favorite are still:

  1. Natto (when my skin is dry).
  2. Red Wine (when my skin is normal/dry).
  3. Pearl Powder (when my skin is normal/dry).

Please note that both Natto and Pearl Powder mask have Lemon, which is a skin irritant. However it’s further down the list in Natto, so hopefully it’s not potent enough to cause trouble.

Both didn’t cause adverse reaction on my highly reactive skin.

Red Wine is the ‘cleanest’ mask in the My Beauty Diary regular line-up. However, all My Beauty Diary sheet masks are fragranced.

Review: My Beauty Diary Natto Sheet Mask

January 28th, 2010 — 6:57am
My Beauty Diary Natto Sheet Mask

My Beauty Diary Natto Sheet Mask

From www.sunnanz.com.sg:
Anti aging and firming effect with supplementary moisturizing element. Skin elasticity improved and very well hydrated.

My Skin Type:
Ranging from very dry to normal/dry. Generally dehydrated, very sensitive.

Packaging:
A box of MBD Natto Mask contains 10 individually packaged sheet mask.

Texture:
The sheet is nice, not too thin. The cut is too wide, but is still workable. Amount of lotion in each sheet is not stated, but it’s quite richly saturated in gel/lotion essence, but it’s not drippy. I can wear this while sitting without it being uncomfortable. After I removed the mask, the remaining lotion sinks in easily, leaving skin soft without sticky residue.

My General Review:
I pick this mask because of my friend’s rave. It’s supposed to be the most moisturizing out of all MBD sheet masks. I tried this in 4 consecutive days and I began to notice improvement after the 3rd day. I find the texture of my skin is smoother; pores shrinks. It’s not heavily moisturizing though, on my skin it’s just lightly hydrating. I guess my skin was too dry at the moment I used this. At least it’s still able to make some difference.

I usually use this at night, and at the morning I find my skin soft and glowy. I’m not sure if the glow lasts after I wash my face though :P My face naturally glows anyway, so at least I think this product assists in maintaining that glow.

It’s nicely fragranced. Thankfully it doesn’t smell like natto (otherwise I would have thrown up; I hate natto!). But as you may already noticed, I prefer fragrance-free skincare products due to my sensitive skin. This also contain other irritant, Lemon extract, but at least it’s further down the ingredient list.

I monitor my skin closely and I think despite the presence of those irritants, it doesn’t create problem.

There are lots of essence there. I usually massage the remaining fluid into my hands/neck.

Price:
I join a spree in Indonesia and it’s quite expensive at IDR16,000 per piece. I think the price in Singapore is much more acceptable. sunnanz.com.sg sold this at SGD1.3.

Ingredients:
Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, 1,3-Butylene Glycol, Water cress Extract, Glycerine, Elder Extract,, Algae Extract, Nanospheres, Aloe Extract, Natto Gum, Laminaria Digitata Extract, Bladder wrack, Grapefruit, Hyaluronic Acid, Arnica Extract, Bio-Active Silanols, Lemon Extract, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Sodium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Butyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Phenoxyethanol, Tween 20, Lactamide, Fragrance

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5. Would love it better if it’s fragrance-free and have more moisturizing properties. Will likely to repurchase though, since the price is quite reasonable and it’s able to reduce the size of my pores. Only few products can do that.

Review: My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Sheet Mask

January 28th, 2010 — 6:57am
My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask

My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask

From www.sunnanz.com.sg:
Firming, regenerating, moisturising, whitens and brightens the overall complexion.
All skin types, esp for dull looking skin.

My Skin Type:
Ranging from very dry to normal/dry. Generally dehydrated, very sensitive.

Packaging:
A box of MBD Black Pearl Mask contains 10 individually packaged sheet mask. I think the packaging is beautiful, albeit not eco-friendly. I wish they can stuck several masks into 1 box…like they did with Kose Clearn Turn sheet masks, without sacrificing the amount of essence in each mask.

Texture:
The sheet is nice, not too thin. The cut is too wide, but is still workable. Amount of lotion in each sheet is not stated. It’s quite richly saturated in gel/lotion essence, but it’s not drippy. I can wear this while sitting without it being uncomfortable. After I removed the mask, the remaining lotion sinks in easily, leaving skin soft without sticky residue.

My General Review:
Pick this up due to curiosity :P It’s pearl and it’s supposed to be whitening/brightening? Who can resist that? Not general Asians, not me! :D

I usually use sheet masks in the night, before sleep. I’m well aware that this masks contain more irritants than the Natto variants, such as Pineapple and Lime extracts.I monitor my skin closely and I think despite the presence of those irritants, it doesn’t create too much problem. The key is, after using this mask, just wait for the remaining essence in my face to sinks, never add more of its essence. If I add more, I’ll have super dehydrated, irritated skin in the morning. Otherwise, I’ll have soft, smooth skin. Not dry, but not oily either. I also find my pores smoothed a bit, but MBD Natto mask is better I think. I LOVE this aspect from MBD masks. But I think the effect of Natto mask lasts longer than this Black Pearl mask. Maybe because Natto mask is more hydrating for my dry skin?

My skin have a bit of natural glow, so I can’t say about the brightening aspect of this mask. At least it didn’t make my skin experience dullness. So maybe it does assist in keeping my healthy glow.

It’s nicely fragranced, I don’t know of what :P As usual, I prefer fragrance-free products.

Since I can’t use the remaining essence to my face, I just massage it to my neck/hands.

Edited To Add:
After trying both this Black Pearl Sheet Mask and Pearl Powder Sheet Mask from MBD, I have to say that I love the Pearl Powder one better. Hydrating, smoothing effect with more interesting ingredients and less irritants.

Price:
I joined a spree in Indonesia and it’s quite expensive at IDR16,000 per piece. I think the price in Singapore is much more acceptable. sunnanz.com.sg sold this at SGD1.3.

Ingredients:
Purified Water, 1, 3-Butylene Glycol, Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Aloe, Hyaluronic Acid, Pineapple, Alage, Cucumber, Lime Tree, Triethanolamine, Methyl Paraben, Algae-Yeast Complex, Bio-Active Silanols, Lecithin, Nanospheres, Vegetale Collagen, Citric Acid, Royal Pearl Extract, Tween-20, Ubiquinone, Propyl Paraben, Carbomer, XanthanGum, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Perfume

Overall Rating:
3 out of 5. I like MBD Natto mask better, since it’s more hydrating with less irritant. If you want a hydrating, brightening, smoothing sheet mask, I recommend MBD Pearl Powder Sheet Mask over this.

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

January 27th, 2010 — 1:53pm

Information stated on the packaging/website:

Black sugar mask with rich minerals and vitamin to provide luster and smoothness to skin.

My say:

This is an exfoliating mask with sugar crystals which work like a scrub, cleanses and revitalizes the face, with moisturizing ingredients like mineral, vitamins and glycolic acid.

It really performs. Pores are unclogged and impurities like dirt and blackheads, removed. My face is deeply cleansed after every wash, and my skin feel super soft.

My only reservation is that the sugar crystals are too coarse and scratchy for my acne skin, especially on those days when I have those huge and painful bumps. Yes, the sugar crystals dissolve rather quickly during application, but I have to add that even the initial minute is really painful to bear, I mean imagine scrubbing on your painful acne? Ouch.

Despite having a love-hate relationship with this, I do strongly recommend it to everyone for its deep cleansing. Those with acne prone skin, skip this on days when you have painful breakouts.

After cleansing – apply a layer of this mask and massage in circular motion as you would with any exfoliating mask/scrub – once the sugar crystals are dissolved, rinse off and follow up with your usual skincare routine.

Comes in a tub of 100g, priced at .50.

Have A Happy Weekend

January 27th, 2010 — 1:53pm

I have not been feeling very well these few days, the construction site across my apartment is really giving me a hard time. Dust pollution aside, the noise level from the piling and drilling works is annoying high. Will be popping by the pharmacy tomorrow to get some pills for that pain in my head. Catch up with all you pretty ladies next week ya.

Oh, before I go off, here:

a1

my latest purchase came in a small carton box

014

and is well protected with “bubble wrap” (is there a proper name for that thingy?).

a2

It is the Fermented Pomegranate Whitening Sleeping Mask I have been lemming for 2 months(?) and I finally part my dollars for it.

Will review it in a month or so.

Alright girls, I need some rest, cheerios!

Skinfood Sea Vegetable Mask Sheet

January 27th, 2010 — 1:53pm

18_D

Information stated on the packaging:

Sea weed extract controls your skin balance. It gives moistures and controls oil. Leaves a velvety soft natural finish. The results are immediate and lasting all day.

Remove the mask from outer packaging and unfold. Leave on your face for 10-15 minutes. Massage in any excess liquid.

My say:

One word: CAUTION.

I have no idea how a ’sea vegetable’ supposed to smell like, but I definitely know it shouldn’t be anything near alcohol, yet that is exactly what this mask smell of!

When I opened the sachet, an overpowering smell of alcohol gushed out. I wasn’t expecting that and I stood in shock.
All these years I have tried and used so many sheet masks from various brands but I have never came across one that is so full of alcohol content like this. I almost fainted.

You would expect me to throw the mask without using right?
Well, the I-desperately-want-to-have-good-skin thoughts got the better of me, I went ahead to try. Big mistake!

After I placed the mask on my face, I couldn’t put up with the pungent smell so I pulled it off shortly. The whole duration was like 30 seconds the most, and boy, I am so glad I came to my senses fast.

Once I removed the mask, sharp sensation started kicking in. My skin got burned, literally.

The burning sensation did not cease after washing, it stayed on for at least 45 minutes. A hot and pricking feeling, extremely uncomfortable.
I couldn’t imagine what would be the damage if I left the mask on longer.

I bought this mask in a box of 5 pieces, to make sure it wasn’t just a sachet of bad batch, I opened 2 more packs to see, and they are the same. I binned them all. A waste of money. *sob*

I do have a very sensitive skin.
But for that amount of alcohol content, one probably need to have pretty resistant skin to be able to use it without side effects, no?

My conclusion is: either I have gotten all 5 pieces from a bad batch, if not please don’t bother trying this. I say, save your cash.

Additional info from the website:
A refreshing, non-sticky facial mask sheet that provides moisture to skin and controls sebum with sea water, sea vegetable extracts, and minerals, for skin balance. After washing, apply mask gently onto face, wait 10 to 15 minutes, and then peel off. Massage remaining residue into face to absorb.

***I find the essence/liquid sticky.

Skinfood Peppermint Pore Diet Mask Peel Off

January 27th, 2010 — 1:53pm

I went on a trip and guess what I came home with? A face full of clogged pores!

There are numerous white/black-heads and lots of tiny bumps (red and skin colour) all over my forehead and cheeks. At this point of writing, quite a few pimples have surfaced; I am praying hard the breakouts would be under controlled, soon.

The culprit? I am pretty sure it was the faint greenish tap water I cleansed myself with during the trip – something I don’t expect from a 4-Star hotel…

Anyway, I fished for this mask to try.

peppermint
Product Information:

Peppermint based treatment for oily, pore-clogged skins, clears away debris to instantly reduce the look of pores. Goes on to strengthen pore walls over time, so they snap back into shape. Leaves a velvety-soft natural finish, under or over makeup.

My View:

I usually hold my comments on the product description by Skinfood, but this particular one is extremely ******.
Let me summarise in a simple term: de-clog pores.

I have used this mask couple of times before posting this review, and my verdict is – useless mask.
On all occasions, not a single white/blackheads were extracted, they are still happily stuck in my pores smiling brightly back at me.

So there, no pore-cleansing effect. Oh well. At least on me.

Its only saving grace is that the mint component gives a very cooling sensation and relaxes my irritated skin.
Upon removing the mask, the red bumps are less angry looking, so it has a calming effect?

This is definitely not on my re-purchase list. I could easily get something better with that price.

If you are trying out this mask, my advices are:

(1) use a pack brush for application, it is a pain washing the thick and sticky glue-like paste off your fingers.

(2) apply an ultra thin layer, otherwise the mask would take forever to dry, way longer than the stipulated 10-15mins.

Skinfood Fermented Pomegranate Whitening Sleeping Mask

January 27th, 2010 — 1:53pm

923_A2l

Product Information:

Sleeping mask with cosmeceutical skin lightening essence based on Fermented Pomegranate Extracts to brighten your skin during night sleep. Helpful for skin lightening. Evenly apply an adequate amount in a circular motion on face and leave it for absorption. Use at the cream stage of your night skin care routine.

My Thoughts:

To those not familiar with Koreans term of sleeping mask – it is a leave-in mask which comes in a gel-cream like texture, to be applied in stead of your night cream, before you hit the sack. And while you sleep, the mask does its work of respective claims, be it moisturizing, whitening, repairing, soothing, etc. A facial wash is essential on the following morning, but I reckon this wouldn’t pose as a problem at all since it is a routine chore for everyone to wash our face first thing in the morning.

This Fermented Pomegranate Whitening Sleeping Mask claims to provide continuous moisturization overnight and suppresses the formation of blemishes and dark spots, making skin look clear and radiant by morning.

Now, from the product description found on the bottle and website, one would easily be misled into believing this sleeping mask is to be used nightly. No, it is not.

I have checked with several SAs and for once, all of them sang in unison, advising the usage to be strictly twice-a-week, maximum thrice – if your skin can take it. Apparantly, it is thought to be on the harsh side for nightly basis.

So, does it work well? I don’t know. It keeps giving me different results!

When I first tried it in April, I found the cream to be a tad sticky and a layer sat on my face, not fully absorbed. My face was greasy when I woke up the next morning. After a few tries, nothing changes, I chucked it aside.

Sometimes later, I gave it a second shot and unfortunately, I experienced some mild itching on my cheeks. To be on the safe side, I stopped testing.

It was probably in June when I reached for this mask again. Surprisingly, I found it not as rich nor sticky as before. Also, there wasn’t any adverse reaction. So, I continue using this mask regularly for about 2 months and I noticed some sort of radiance! However, the joy didn’t last long as my face broke out when I increased the usage to thrice-a-week. Again, I stopped using this mask.

Lately, my skin has been extremely dehydrated and dry. So I dug out this mask to use and guess what? I actually found it not moisturizing enough. My skin felt taut after application. Thus, I applied my night moisturizer then this sleeping mask and I was surprised to find the combination not potently rich.

I have been applying my night-moisturizer-plus-this-sleeping-mask combination on thrice-a-week basis for a few weeks now, and hey, my skin is accepting it well. Weird huh? Such drastic differences now and then.

It smells very nice but in an overwhelming way. Every time I feel like I am slathering parfum balm on my face! lol.
Thankfully, the scent dissipated in a while.

Beauty Tip #6 Facial Mask Discovery

December 1st, 2006 — 5:46am

I have purchased several facial mask from TheFaceShop during my previous trip to Singapore last month.

After watching the latest beauty show NuiRenWoZhuiDa, this is very popular method by Japanese. And very sure that, I would love to try it with my new facial mask + my botox serum.

1) Firstly, pat the serum into your face
Depending on your need, you may apply anti-aging or whitening serum
2) Put on the hydrating mask on your face
You may purchase at retail shop, there are several cheap and very effective hydrating mask
3) Put on shower cap on your face, make sure to make a hole right infront of your nose

*Double the effects of facial treatment by applying the serum before putting on the mask, it will be absorb deeply into skin

Wait for 10-15 mins, say bye bye to dull and dehydrating skin.
