The Right Way To Select The Best Kind Of Eye Shadow

Don’t feel bad if you go to the store and pick up and eyeshadow palette that is in reach. You need to consider how they will influence the color of your skin and eye color. Really when you think about it, it is very similar to putting on makeup on other parts of your body.

Eye shadow palettes can look very similar and confusing to average people. They contain many shades because they are designed to enhance specific skin tones and eye colors. If you have blue eyes then you should consider green and blue.

Your clothing will also have an effect on the color you should wear. So if you have a good selection of colors then you won’t have any problem matching them to your wardrobe. Buying a big palette will take care of those problems with ease.

However, if you are on a budget then a larger palette might be difficult because they cost a lot of money. If you like to wear makeup often then this won’t be a problem for you. Some of my palettes have lasted well over a year so you can expect it to be a wise choice.

You also have to think about your skin color when purchasing a palette. The best thing to follow is that if your skin is light then you need lighter shades. If your skin is dark then you will need darker shades of makeup. One common mistake is to put on a lot of eye shadow but this will make you look like a fool.

Brand named makeup is always the best choice because they are made of quality. If you have to decide between two pieces of makeup you should always shoot for the brand named one. In a lot of cases, cheaper makeup is made from chemicals that will cause problems with other makeup and with your skin. Don’t spend too much time choosing but you should definitely take notice of those points.

Your facial features can say a great deal about what you may be. Tongue bars are another awesome way to accent your eyes without going too far.

Mini Haul: Silk Naturals + Lunasol

Been missing for a bit, work got so hectic this week. I had to act for 2 missing team member (they had to do roadshows to Regional offices while I prefer to stay at the headquarter). Can’t even finish writing Chanel review, don’t even have time to upload June’s haul pic!

I’ll upload June’s haul later; but today I get 2 packages!

The first one is from Silk Naturals. Been waiting for the package for a long time! It took 3 weeks to reach me from the States. Indonesian Postal Service is slow lately :( So basically it’s part of the June’s haul :P

SN has tons of interesting stuffs. For one, they provide white MMU foundation. Every MMU foundation that I’ve tried is several shades darker than my face; even the fairest color from Everyday Minerals or Ciel Minerals or Lumiere! Lumiere does provide white foundations too, but I was interested in SN due to the high rating in MakeupAlley and FashioneseDaily.

All of the items are sample sizes except for the 2% BHA Toner. I desperately need BHA again to control my blemishes!

The second one is not really a package. Today I ran to Kanebo Lunasol counter grab 2 palettes for a MUA member, she wants to CP them from me.

I’ve always been allured by Lunasol palettes, they have so many pretty ones! But when the MA cracked those baby open in front of me, I nearly fainted. They’re soooo damn pretty! The pic doesn’t do them justice, trust me on this one.

So why I never hauled Lunasol? Well. Just because. I’m quite dedicated to Stila, you know? :p I believe if I ever slow down from Stila, I’ll haul Lunasol. I think they have similar color schemes! Tons of cool, cute, pastel colors gradation in pinks, purples, etc.

*Notice that I said “if I ever slow down from Stila”? If you remember well, I said that I took a break from Stila.

Not for long.

You can expect me posting up some Stila palettes in the near future :P
